Model Driven Architecture

Model Driven Architecture (MDA®) is the practice and set of standards for deriving actionable value from models and architecture. MDA can help government be more effective while reducing costs and risks. MDA enables the production of business and technology assets and capabilities from models.

Note that models, in the MDA sense includes Enterprise Architectures, Service Oriented Architectures, Ontologies, Business Processes, Data Models, Object Models, and others. Any structured representation of analysis and design information from which derivative value can be automated.
